A gentle way to deliver medicine to rats

One of the hardest things is to get medicine into a rat that is reluctant to take it! I like tto try the easy way first, using food as a delivery system, before resorting to a syringe (without the needle, obviously!) into their mouths directly.

The rat in this video figured out medicine was in the dog food and refused it, so I gave up on that and tried a Sheddie. She didn’t want the Shreddie either, but look what I did to make it seem more exciting for her to eat!
